    • What is coaching?


    Much is written and discussed about coaching: whether “it” works, whether “it” is just another fad that will soon be replaced by something else, whether it is just a way for some people to work when it suits them, set themselves up as experts and charge mega bucks for the pleasure!

    Let us dispel those myths, simplify things for you and share with you what we mean by coaching here at Keep the Bounce:
    Coaching is a relationship. The purpose of the relationship is to have you win at whatever is important to you.
    Most people can relate easily to coaching in the context of sport. If you take tennis as an example, the player is generally more talented at tennis than their coach! So why have one? Quite simply because by definition the only person who cannot see you in action is YOU! A coach in the context of sport can offer feedback as to your performance, helping you to identify your strengths and how you might build on them and also bring your “blind spots” to your attention and work with you to minimise those and so offer the best possible chance of success.

    Outside of the sporting arena it is not so different. We definitely want you to win and indeed consider that as coaches we only win if you do. So one of our first steps will be to help you get absolute clarity over what a win looks like for you. Our talent lies in connecting you with that “fire in your belly”, asking questions intentionally designed to challenge your assumptions and beliefs as to what is possible for you.

    We believe that with the right coach you can achieve results in a shorter time frame, with less stress and definitely with a lot more fun than you would on your own.
